Introduction:

1. Home Science Department was established on 30th June 1986  vide Government Approval
Letter Nos. First Year -UMF/1086/154343/83/86 VC-2 and Second & Third  Year -   UMF/1087/156441VC-2(510/87) dt 30th June 1987

2. Department started with First Year Course in Arts faculty. This Department deals with
subjects Nutrition, Textile, Home Management, Human Development and Extension
Education

 3. Presently Department has One full time Lecturers and one Lab attendant

1. Upliftment of Living Standard by making Society aware about importance of healthy living practices
2. To make Students aware about modern methods of living
3. To empower Students for self-Employment

Mission of Home Science Department is
1. To enrol Students representing various Strata of Society
2. To adapt scientific approaches to various task in day to day life
3. To exhibit and demonstrate Student’s handmade articles and cookery products etc.
