In the era of liberalization, privatization and globalization, communication skills are the key to success.  English is now a bridge language of international business, technology, research and aviation.
Department aims to instill the concept of life-long learning into the students. All the four pillars of language learning – listening, speaking, reading and writing – are integrated in the course delivery to ensure a balanced development of language skills. Students are encouraged to communicate only in English while on campus. The department offers a variety of creative activities that give students the opportunity to enhance their intellectual curiosity, analytical and interpretive thinking, and expand their horizons as well through broad and intensive reading.
The students’ creative talents are also identified and enhanced through personal guidance, research and Literary Club activities. Discussion forums, debates and presentations are organized as part of the club activities to give the students a platform to express their ideas and project their talents and skills. Special emphasis is laid on maintaining an excellent rapport with the students through interaction and advising, which in turn serves to inspire them to strive for the best.
